Project Manager (Commercial Interiors)

Location: New York, NY

Salary: Up to $180,000 DOE + benefits

I am currently working with a highly regarded General Contractor specializing in commercial interiors who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The company is a Family owned Business and has operated in the NYC market for over 40 years and has strong portfolio of commercial interior projects, and is looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects from preconstruction through completion.

This General Contractor has a strong background working on high-end corporate interiors, financial services offices, professional services, tech offices, institutional spaces and speciality/retail work

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of high-quality commercial interior projects, working on such as working alongside an experienced project management and field team. The Project Manager will play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The key responsibilities of the Project Manager will be -
  • Managing commercial interior projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Overseeing project schedules, budgets and overall project coordination
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants and clients
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction documents
  • Tracking project progress and ensuring key milestones are met
  • Managing project costs, changes and financial reporting
  • Identifying potential project issues and developing effective solutions
  • Managing project closeout, punch list and final completion
The ideal Project Manager will have
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within commercial interiors
  • Strong experience delivering commercial interior construction projects
  • Proven experience managing projects from start to completion
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement and change orders
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality projects
