Project Manager (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Systems/Manufacturing)

We are looking for a candidate:

  • With a strong background in project management and a desire to work in a TEAM environment with support and input from multiple angles that values safety above all else.
  • With the ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Who will collaborate with the existing team to fully support machinery installations, from building erection and machine foundations, to installing and commissioning the newly installed equipment.

The Project Manager III Will:

  • Develop Projects:
    • Identify and manage the project risks.
    • Develop the scope of the project through collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement project plans.
    • Specify all the relevant company and industry standards required for the design, installation, & construction of the assigned project.
    • Develop requests for quote that include all the relevant information for bidding projects.
    • Identify and apply for/facilitate any necessary permitting.
  • Execute Projects:
    • Manage the execution of projects.
    • Manage contracted and in-house resources, as necessary to complete projects
    • Prepare all relevant project execution procedures, specifications, and documentation.
    • Manage EHS at the site and ensure delivery of all EHS targets. Carry out frequent reviews of the site EHS and continuously seek to improve the conditions.
    • Embed a strong safety culture in the project team, contractors and workers on site.
    • Follow up on projects to ensure proper execution.
    • Prepare and implement progress reports on projects.
    • Prepare punch lists towards the end of all projects.
  • Commission and Handover Projects:
    • Follow up on punch lists to verify projects are completed and coordinated with all stakeholders.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and make available for handoff upon project completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (Bachelor's).
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial project management.
  • Has successfully managed large, complex projects within budgeted resources to completion with outstanding results.
  • Organizational and project management skills, along with effective communication skills.
  • Skilled at managing contractors and consultants.
  • Experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the wire manufacturing industry.
  • Manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in steel and concrete.
  • Project Management certifications.
  • Has basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures relating to facilities management as well a life safety monitoring and control systems for equipment.
  • Has experience reviewing specifications and developing mechanical or electrical layouts.
  • Strong computing and software skills including AutoCAD & Microsoft Office.
  • Travel up to an average of 50% of the time, depending on the specific phase of the project.
