Role Summary
Accountable for all operational aspects of deploying, integrating, and supporting solutions in the Access and Packet Core sub-domains for mobile carrier client(s). Work closely with peers in sales, product management, system engineering, software development, testing, global support, deployment, and 3rd parties, to provide the best possible service that meets customer operational readiness expectations and adheres to contractual obligations such as service level agreements. Serve as operational representative to the customer for domain and proxy customer requirements towards the organization. Update the customer about roadmaps, new releases, incidents, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent} in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in telecommunications operations. Experience must include:
Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Telecom operations specifically with software deployment, and support
  • Mobile Telecommunication architectures and protocols (SS7, 3G, IMS, VoIP, LTE, Vol TE, VoWiFi, RTP, SDP, or Diameter).

Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • People management and technical leadership, or equivalent experience leading multinational teams.

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Deploying, supporting, and designing Unix/Linux based telecom products and solutions in datacenters.
  • Software development life cycle components include requirements, specifications, design, and testing.
  • Implementing and validating secure, real-time network access with session border controllers.
  • Evaluating technical and product requirements and translating these into a fully operational solution deployment.
  • Incident management including the coordination of cross disciplinary teams towards a timely service restoration, customer communication, and root-cause analysis.
