Job description

A senior hunter role for someone who loves opening doors, building executive relationships, and creating new revenue from scratch, not maintaining a territory. About Universal Connectivity

Universal Connectivity is expanding, and we are hiring a Senior Account Executive who thrives on starting conversations, opening new doors, building relationships with senior leaders, and setting goals. If you love connecting with people, moving fast, and creating new opportunities through outreach and networking, this role is designed for you.

Mid-market organizations often juggle multiple IT, communications, and connectivity providers, creating complexity, inefficiency, and distraction. Universal Connectivity brings clarity, structure, and accountability to these environments, helping executives simplify decisions and improve outcomes. We lead with partnership and long-term value, not price. In business for more than 30 years, we move fast, take ownership, and win by building relationships that competitors cannot replicate. We are building a scalable growth organization and need a relationship driven hunter to help accelerate that momentum.

Compensation

Base salary: $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Plus uncapped commission and performance bonuses.

Benefits
  • Uncapped commission and performance-based bonuses
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Retirement plan with company match
  • Phone and mileage reimbursement
  • Quarterly team events
  • Professional development and training opportunities

Responsibilities

This is a net new business development role focused on creating conversations and uncovering opportunities. You will own the full sales cycle from discovery to close, build and engage a focused list of target accounts, open executive level meetings through outreach and referral relationships, and engage multiple stakeholders across an organization to build consensus and move deals forward. You will receive strong sales engineering support for solution design and proposal work. This is not a territory maintenance or transactional sales role.

What success looks like in year one:

You will build a pipeline of qualified executive level opportunities from a focused account list and close your first meaningful deals. Our internal support structure is built to help you move fast once you are in a conversation.

  • Own a focused named account list and drive it forward with consistent weekly activity
  • Open doors at the executive level through outreach, referral relationships, and Centers of Influence
  • Move opportunities through a structured pipeline with clear next steps
  • Partner with sales engineering for solution design and proposal development
  • Lead business level proposal discussions and guide prospects to the right solution
  • Build and nurture 10 to 20 COI and referral partner relationships
  • Contribute to client success through structured 90 day and annual reviews

Qualifications

This is a senior B2B sales role focused entirely on net new business development. It is not an entry level or SDR position. We require a minimum of 5 or more years of quota carrying experience.

  • 5 or more years of success in quota carrying B2B sales, ideally in technology, telecom, SaaS, or managed services
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets through net new business
  • Proven success selling to C Suite, VP, and Director level decision makers
  • True hunter mindset with confidence initiating outreach, expanding networks, and creating opportunities where none existed
  • Skilled in discovery, executive communication, negotiation, and closing
  • Curious, competitive, and thrives on speed and impact
  • Comfortable with CRM systems, LinkedIn, and modern prospecting tools
  • Ability to travel locally for client and partner meetings
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus, not required

We are an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
