As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton delivers mission-critical telecommunications and engineering solutions that keep millions of passengers and aircraft moving safely every day.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Systems Integration Testing Engineer - Senior to lead test engineering, verification, and validation activities across BNATCS telecommunications modernization initiatives. Your work will support FAA telecom transformation efforts, modernizing critical systems from legacy TDM and copper infrastructure to resilient, IP-based, fiber-enabled architecture.

Support integration and verification testing new data sources and software capabilities within legacy and next-generation. In this role, you will support the SMEs in test planning, system validation, integration testing, and operational verification. Additionally, you will contribute to improving testing methodologies, system workflows, and operational procedures.

What You'll Do:

Lead System Integration & Test (I&T) Execution: Develop test strategies, plans, and procedures aligned with FAA and BNATCS requirements.

  • Conduct functional, regression, performance, fail-over, and end-to-end system testing.
  • Support telecom modernization, validating systems transitioning from TDM and copper to fiber-based and IP architecture.
  • Support defect identification, root cause analysis, and issue tracking for software anomalies discovered during test and operational use
  • Perform manual and automated testing using engineering lab assets and diagnostic tools.
  • Verify network cut-overs, circuit turn-ups, and operational readiness in FAA environments.
  • Identify and resolve system anomalies across hardware, software, and network layers.
  • Produce test reports, discrepancy documentation, and traceability artifacts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, external thirdparty vendors, and FAA stakeholders to ensure testing efforts remain aligned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted)
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or test engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience performing integration testing for networked or telecom systems.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, IPv6, and fiberbased transport systems.
  • Experience creating test plans, test scripts, and test summary reports.
  • Data analysis skills, proficiency in MS Excel, Scripting, Database and Big Data Analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical information and writing test documentation.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, solve problems, and adapt in a fastpaced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting FAA or NAS telecommunications systems.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Network+, AWS Solutions Architect, PMP.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
