What you will be doing:


Synergy is looking for a Site Systems Engineer to perform remote maintenance and refresh efforts on 8 sites. Travel to these sites is expected on a yearly basis. You will perform daily interaction with partner entities.  The Engineer will need experience in Linux and Ciena to support with system administration, troubleshooting, loading software, configuration of  telecom network and software packages. Needs knowledge of cables and collection systems and how they work, as well as an understanding of data flow.  As Systems Engineer you will engage SMEs, perform data validation once software is deployed, submit DMRs for data flow path problems/fixes, configure new software updates, and perform troubleshooting.  Must be experienced with NiFi and Linux. 


Requirements


Requires a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

  • Must be fully cleared with the appropriate MPO client polygraph.
