Job description

POSITION TITLE: Telecom Analyst 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Come work for an established healthcare provider that cares about its patients and employees. This is an important role in the Technology department. The Telecom Analyst’s responsibility is to develop, plan, and implement our telecommunications infrastructure. This includes configuring, installing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, mobile devices, voicemail, PBX and Cloud communication and eFax systems. The Telecom Analyst will also evaluate and resolve telecommunications circuit issues in an efficient and accurate manner, and support user needs.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·       Procure, setup, troubleshoot and maintain corporate iPhones

·       Design and support telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, voice mail, call management systems, and interactive voice response

·       Integrate these systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs, and Internet-based services and protocols

·       Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for telecom traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telecom systems

·       Generate telecommunications usage and network traffic reports

·       Configure, test, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot end user telecommunications, telephony, and voice/data software products

·       Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of telecommunications problems for end users; recommend and implement reparative remedies

·       Conduct frame relay, ISDN, and [...] switch maintenance

·       Modify and/or rearrange telecommunications systems to accommodate additional services or changes

·       Assist with Inspection, testing, and maintenance of telephone lines, circuits, trunks, and associated wiring and cabling

·       Liaise with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware performance issues

·       Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of telecom systems

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Avaya suite (Communication Manager 5.2.1 or higher, IP Office 500 V2, Ring Central, Avaya Cloud Office, Contact Center (Ring Central RingCx and RingEx); Apple iPhones, MDM platforms (JAMF)


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology


Once established in the role, this can be a hybrid role, 3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote.
