Company Description
Gratia Geomatics, LLC, based in Spring, Texas specializes in land surveying, terrestrial laser scanning, drone LiDAR, and subsurface utility locating for a variety of transportation, flood control, drainage, utility, and land development projects throughout the region.

Role Description
Weโ€™re looking for experienced Utility Locators to join our team. In this role, you will use specialized equipment to identify and mark underground utilities including gas, electric, water, sewer, and telecom lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform field inspections to locate and mark underground utility lines using industry-standard locating equipment.
  • Interpret utility maps, plans, and construction drawings.
  • Document findings, create accurate field notes, and complete digital reports.
  • Communicate with contractors, customers, property owners, and supervisors to coordinate locating activities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration and care.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior utility locating experience.
  • Knowledge of Texas One-Call / 811 requirements.

Other Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to complete projects
  • Successfully complete a drug screening and background check
  • Some travel may be required
