Could you be the full-time Network Engineer in Toronto, ON, we're looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your networking and telecommunications expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and dedicated teammates.

You'll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest public transit system. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (design, engineering, and commissioning), design and deploy network and telecom solutions, and ensure alignment with project objectives, milestones, and quality standards.

You'll specifically take care of creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as System Functional Specifications and Architecture Design Descriptions, but also perform network maintenance, troubleshooting, and support field activities.

We'll look to you for:

  • Designing and deploying networks and virtual solutions based on system requirements

  • Creating and maintaining system documentation, including Interface Control Documents

  • Performing capacity analysis for Communication Networks

  • Using traffic generator and network management tools to meet performance, management, and monitoring objectives

  • Participating in radio and network design, implementation, and test activities

  • Supporting installation, test, commissioning, and maintenance activities both remotely and in the field

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in networking or telecommunications

  • 5-15 years of experience in a related field

  • P. Eng certification or in progress

  • Knowledge of network hardware, including servers, routers, and other computer devices

  • Understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN

  • Experience with network security, policies, and routing protocols (e.g., IP or SR MPLS)

  • Hands-on experience with IPsec, VPNs, and firewalls

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and GIS platforms is a plus

  • CCNP/CCDE/CCIE certifications are desirable

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
