The Team

Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement (A&M CPI) is expanding our capacity to serve clients across telecom and digital infrastructure.  In 2024, we created a focused Telecom & Digital Infrastructure industry group to complement A&M’s history in solving complex issues in this space.  We are looking for accomplished consultants and operators with deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to develop actionable strategies and see them through to execution.

A&M helps companies navigate options through complex market dynamics, such as telecom. Our work includes advising on top-line strategy growth, streamlining operations, solving for tech debt, investments across telecom and digital infrastructure, divestitures, restructuring, transactional diligences, and M&A.

Our team serves traditional telecom operators, as well as private equity, digital infrastructure providers, government entities, and cross-industry enterprises.  Our work spans across wireline (cable, fiber, legacy), wireless, data centers, satellite, and next gen infrastructure technologies.

Interested parties should have a strong background in one of the following areas:

How you will contribute

  • Leads teams on complex projects by: setting clear direction, establishing clear expectations, ensuring quality of client / project team deliverable development
  • Decomposes complex issues, frames solution design and architects deliverables against SOW requirements
  • Ensures deliverables are complete, error free, communicated clearly and on time
  • Rapidly develops understanding of client’s business
  • Anticipates, assesses and identifies areas of potential risk and issues, and develops mitigation plans
  • Actively seeks to find current client needs that may lead to new opportunities for A&M
  • Actively promotes a positive and inclusive team environment that embraces the unique attributes of all team members
  • Coaches others to act and deliver in the best interests of our clients

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of relevant industry and consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Outcome oriented
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal/team skills, high E.Q.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to address strategic issues and act tactically understanding cross-functional requirements
  • Comfortable with travel

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $150,000 - $225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
