This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.


We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Little Canada, MN. In this role you will be responsible for leading telecommunications construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to customer and contractual requirements. This role coordinates internal teams, field operations, customers, contractors, and vendors while managing project scope, schedules, financial performance, risks, and deliverables.

The Role    

  • Plan, organize, and manage telecom construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and documentation
  • Coordinate with construction operations, engineering, permitting, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
  • Monitor project progress, costs, labor, materials, schedules, and subcontractor performance; address variances and delays
  • Manage project scope, change orders, customer requirements, and other project changes
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, including permitting, materials, labor, schedule, safety, and scope issues
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear direction, expectations, and status updates to stakeholders
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers and external partners throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare executive-level status reports covering project progress, financials, risks, issues, and overall performance
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct project management experience, preferably in telecommunications, construction, utilities, or infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Telecommunications construction experience, including fiber, underground, aerial, wireless, or network infrastructure
  • Experience working with telecom carriers, utilities, municipalities, contractors, or subcontractors
  • PMP, Scrum Master, Lean, Agile, or other project management certification preferred
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field personnel, customers, contractors, and executives
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
