How to make $300,000 as a nurse online?

A tele nurse can potentially earn $300,000 annually by gaining specialized certifications, such as nurse practitioner or case management, and working in high-demand areas or with private clients. Increasing income may also involve taking on multiple remote roles, offering consulting services, or working for agencies that pay higher rates for experienced nurses with advanced skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Tele Nurse, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Tele Nurse, you need a valid nursing license, strong clinical judgment, and experience in patient assessment, often supported by a BSN or ADN degree. Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills help build patient trust and effectively manage care remotely. These skills ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery in a virtual healthcare environment.

What does a tele nurse do?

A tele nurse provides healthcare services remotely by assessing patient symptoms, offering medical advice, and guiding patients on next steps through phone or online communication. They use electronic health records and communication tools, often working in a call center or home setting, and require nursing licensure. Their role involves triaging, patient education, and coordinating care without in-person contact.

How does a Tele Nurse typically collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care?

As a Tele Nurse, collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals is primarily conducted through secure digital platforms, phone calls, and electronic health records. You will frequently communicate patient assessments, relay critical symptoms, and coordinate care plans in real time. Tele Visit Nurse Practitioner

Circadia Health is a growth-stage healthcare AI company on a mission to prevent avoidable hospitalizations and transform senior-care operations. Our Circadia Intelligence Platform combines:

  • Contactless sensing that monitors respiration and motion with medical-grade accuracy
  • Native predictive models that detect 85% of preventable adverse events several days in advance
  • Enterprise integrations that operationalize predictions directly inside EHR, care-coordination, billing, and compliance workflows

Today, our technology touches 40,000+ post-acute patients daily across skilled-nursing, home-health, and home-care networks. We are backed by leading healthcare and AI investors and headquartered in El Segundo, CA.

The Role

Transform home-based careโ€”from wherever you are. As Circadia's full-time tele visit NP, you'll conduct remote assessments for home health patients, act on predictive health signals in real time, and coach care teams through virtual touchpoints to drive earlier interventions and reduce preventable hospitalizations.

  • Remote patient care: Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth assessments on flagged patients; initiate/adjust plans of care; coordinate with referring and primary care providersโ€”all via secure video/audio platform.
  • Data into action: Interpret trend-based insights from the Circadia platform, prioritize high-risk patients, and drive timely interventions to prevent decline and unnecessary ED visits.
  • Close the loop: Complete documentation/charts within the same day.
  • Tele-visit management: Efficiently complete 25+ tele visits per day for designated home health patients in the SoCal/OC area, focusing on new admissions, high-acuity flagged patients, and Circadia alerts.
  • Quality & product feedback: Surface insights to improve virtual workflows and tech integration in a home health setting.
  • Mentor & collaborate: Support NP onboarding, share best practices, and partner with clinical ops/product teams.

How Success is Measured (KPIs)

  • Visits: Target 25+ patient tele visits/day
  • Flagged Patients are addressed within 24 hours
  • Documentation: Complete all notes using AI-powered tools within 24 hours of each encounter.
  • Adoption & impact: Demonstrated workflow adherence across patient panels; trend toward fewer falls/hospitalizations and improved home health star ratings over time.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Certified and licensed Nurse Practitioner in CA; ANCC (or equivalent) in Adult/Family/Geriatric/Acute.
  • Eligible for Medicare participation; company bills on your behalf.
  • 2+ years NP experience with complex adult populations in home health or post-acute settings; able to practice independently.
  • Comfortable conducting telehealth visits and navigating virtual care platforms.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, evolving startup environment.
  • English & Spanish required.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Tech-savvy: Google Suite, multiple EMRs (HCHB experience a plus), Slack, AI transcription/tools.
  • Spanish preferred.

$120,000 - $140,000 a year Compensation & Perks Base Salary: $120K-$140K Mission + autonomy: Lead a high-impact program that advances proactive home-based careโ€”own your outcomes. Tools that help: AI documentation, in-app training, integrated workflows; company laptop + mobile tools. Remote-first setup supported.
