JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

  • Overview
    We are looking for a hands-on Automation Engineer to support testing of a critical Data Governance platform for Telcom company. 

  • The platform includes multiple applications responsible for metadata collection, classification, and data quality, used by business stakeholders across the organization.

  • The role focuses on API, UI, and integration automation across a distributed, cloud-based system to ensure high quality, reliability, and seamless end-to-end workflows.


  • Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation for REST APIs, Angular-based UI, and cross-application workflows
  • Validate end-to-end flows including metadata ingestion, classification, enrichment, and search
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar
  • Execute performance testing (e.g., JMeter) to validate system scalability
  • Collaborate with developers and business teams to ensure coverage of critical scenarios
  • Investigate and debug issues across UI, backend services, and databases
  • Develop and maintain automated regression suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Support validation activities related to platform changes (e.g., search engine migration)

  • Required Skills

  • Strong experience in API and UI test automation
  • Working knowledge of Java or Python (ability to read and extend automation code)
  • Experience using tools such as Postman (or equivalent) for API testing
  • Performance testing experience with JMeter or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and how to test them
  • Experience testing Angular-based applications
  • Understanding of backend services (Java / Node.js) and end-to-end flows
  • Strong SQL skills (MySQL / PostgreSQL) for data validation
  • Experience working in Azure-based environments and CI/CD pipelines

  • Understanding of data governance concepts (metadata, classification, lineage)
