THE ROLE

As the Youth & Teen Services Supervisor, you will play an essential role in creating and supporting meaningful programming for youth and teens with disabilities across community and onsite locations. You’ll work closely with families, staff, community partners, and the Northern Youth & Teen Services Manager to ensure each participant receives safe, high-quality, engaging services.

This role combines program development, staff support, and direct connection with participants. You will help expand program opportunities, build strong community relationships, and ensure that every young person served has the chance to grow, connect, and thrive.


SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
  • Part time

  • Flexible scheduling, afternoons and evenings 1pm-7pm Monday-Friday

  • Compensation aligned with experience and internal equity

  • Travel throughout the community required (reliable transportation needed)


RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Development
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate youth and teen programming alongside the Northern Youth & Teen Services Manager

  • Maintain safety and quality service standards

  • Grow the number of youth served by developing innovative, person-centered programming

  • Build and maintain community partnerships to support new opportunities

Staff & Team Leadership
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and training to staff

  • Ensure staff meet all training, documentation, and clinical oversight requirements

  • Lead team meetings, share updates, and support ongoing professional development

  • Coordinate hiring needs and participate in interviews

  • Support accurate scheduling, authorizations, and administrative processes

  • Complete required documentation, incident reports, and staff-related paperwork on time

  • Assist in addressing maintenance or IT concerns for building and vehicles

  • Promote volunteer and internship opportunities

  • Provide direct participant support as needed

Administrative & Compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and licensing requirements

  • Ensure all program, staff, and participant documentation is completed as required

  • Participate in strategic planning and help engage staff in organizational goals


QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

  • Reliable, non-public transportation with required insurance

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Sociology, Psychology, Education, Recreation Therapy, Business, etc.)

  • Experience developing community-based or youth programs

  • Experience working with youth or adults with disabilities

  • Case management or developmental assessment experience

  • Knowledge of proactive behavioral strategies and precision teaching

  • Previous supervisory experience


PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work performed in community settings, program sites, and office environments

  • Extensive local travel required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at some sites

  • Occasional assistance with wheelchair transfers

  • Ability to focus, multitask, and respond calmly in emergencies

  • Work may involve supporting individuals who display challenging behaviors; Aptiv provides training for safety and de-escalation
