What is Team Read?
Renton Team Read is an after-school reading program that hires, trains, and pays teens from the Renton Teacher Academy and the Renton Aspiring Educators to work as paid reading coaches (tutors) one-onone with 2nd and 3rd graders at Campbell Hill Elementary who are not yet reading at grade level.
What does a Reading Coach do?
Reading coaches help develop and improve the reading skills of elementary students. Team Read will provide the training and materials you need to be a great Reading Coach.
When and where would I work?
Renton Team Read teen coach training starts in Mid/end of October and the program runs through the school year. Programing is Tuesday and Thursday (weekly, excluding holidays and breaks) from 3:15pm-4:45pm and serves Campbell Hill Elementary School students.
