Our original Brooklyn location opened in 2018. We now have locations in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Charlotte, Houston, and Denver. We've hosted over 500,000 players including hundreds of corporate team building outings, school groups, and non-profit organizations. Beat The Bomb is one of the highest rated experiences in all 5 markets. We offer a full range of special event services including STEM Camps, Kid and Adult Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. We also have a virtual team building platform called Beat The Bomb Virtual, serving remote teams across the globe. Our #1 goal is to ensure every player has a BLAST!
The DC Location
Located in DC's hippest new neighborhood, Ivy City, DC, this marks our third location in the nation, and opened in February 2023. The 10,000+ square foot location offers our classic Mission experiences with glass-walled bomb rooms; 7 immersive arcade lounges ('Game Bays'); street food and a full selection of beer, wine, cocktails & signature slushies @ The Bomb Bar; a beer garden with sports viewing; and several dedicated private event spaces for large groups. The Bomb DC has already emerged as one of the highest rated experiences in DC with over 5,000 5-star reviews on Google and has welcomed nearly 50,000 customers in less than 6 months.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated entry-level tech enthusiast to step into a growing career. If you've built a PC, worked in tech support, or have experience in a theater or entertainment setting, this position is for you. You'll have the chance to collaborate closely with our HQ team and showcase your skills while advancing your career.
- Tech Support: Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of various technical systems, including check-in computers, waiver tablets, POS systems, video and audio systems, lighting, Mission game rooms (such as the laser maze), Game Bays, Bomb Rooms (including the photo bomb system), server room, and overall network operations.
- Customer Experience: Support the guest experience by managing and addressing technical issues that arise, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience for our guests. When not addressing tech issues, perform guest-facing duties as a Game Runner.
- Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance tasks, including cleaning computers, checking cable connections, and testing games. Ensure all hardware is in working order and address any issues promptly.
- Software and Inventory Management: Assist the HQ Tech team in keeping software up-to-date, debugging application issues, and testing game and software features. Manage tech inventory to ensure proper tracking and availability of spare equipment.
- Reporting and Facilities: Monitor and address tech issues identified in End-of-Day reports. Perform simple facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the space remains in good condition.
