Job description

Description This position involves organizing and supervising children (ages 12-15) in a summer day camp setting. Activities include arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and games, special events, field trips, and more. Cleaning and sanitizing duties are also required.

Staff must be available to work for all six weeks of the camp, with counselors working 40 hours per week. Camp dates are from June 29 to August 7. Examples Of Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to engage and entertain teen-aged youth.

Foster a safe and inclusive environment for campers, emphasizing teamwork and cooperation. Assist in the setup and cleanup of daily activities and maintain a clean and organized camp space. Actively participate in all camp events, including dodgeball, field trips to water parks, theme days, bowling, movies, and more.

Collaborate with fellow camp counselors and other staff to ensure a positive camp experience. Provide regular updates to parents on camp activities and their child's participation. The duties listed above are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed.
