ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Help us build an incredible Club experience for teens by working collaboratively to create a positive, welcoming environment where young people feel a strong sense of belonging, develop leadership skills, explore opportunities, and prepare for success beyond high school. Plan and oversee the administration of programs and activities that support teens in developing academic, career, leadership, social-emotional, and life skills while creating meaningful relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT & ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Coach and supervise staff with ongoing feedback and performance reviews to identify and support professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Area Director and People Specialist to recruit, onboard, and train new Club staff
  • Practice providing and receiving open and honest feedback
  • Understand and implement organizational policies, procedures, and goals and ensure all direct reports are informed
  • Manage Club expenditures within the approved budget in collaboration with the Area Director
  • Oversee the Club facility and grounds by following our Safety & Operations Core Process
  • Create work schedules for Club staff
  • Support evening and weekend programming and events, including scheduling and on-call support
  • Foster a culture of learning within the Club by providing ongoing training and professional development to Club staff
  • Collaborate with Area Directors and the Director of Youth & Family Services to facilitate training for Club staff
  • Collaborate with other Clubs and Club staff to provide programming and foster youth engagement within and across Clubhouses
  • Develop a strong team culture that encourages staff to build authentic, age-appropriate relationships with teens

YOUTH & FAMILY CORE PROCESS
  • Maintain a healthy, safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where teens feel respected, heard, and valued
  • Build positive relationships with parents/guardians while recognizing and supporting the growing independence of teens
  • Support Program Leads in creating and implementing programs and activities aligned with key Outcome Areas, including Health & Wellbeing Academic Success, Life & Workforce Readiness, and Character & Leadership
  • Ensure teens have access to meaningful opportunities for leadership, service, personal growth, and skill development
  • Support programming that prepares teens for success in high school, post-secondary education, employment, and adulthood
  • Provide coaching and training to Youth Development Professionals to facilitate meaningful small groups focused on social-emotional health, relationships, identity, decision-making, and life skills
  • Prepare and maintain program binders in program spaces that include monthly program calendars, daily schedules, program reports, incident reports, parent communication templates, and space for notes
  • Communicate daily and quarterly schedules of programs with staff, youth, families, and school/community partners
  • Document significant behaviors/incidents, restorative responses, and follow up with youth/family using the BGCSW Incident Report Process
  • Schedule program assessments, including Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA), in collaboration with the Area Director and appropriate program leadership
  • Utilize assessment results, including YPQA and NYOI, to create and implement Club programming improvement plans
  • Observe programming offered at the Club and provide guidance and feedback to staff based on weekly observations
  • Create opportunities for teens to provide feedback and have a voice in shaping their Club experience

YOUTH ATTENDANCE & ENROLLMENT
  • Manage Club recruitment and outreach efforts to meet enrollment expectations for the organization
  • Ensure average daily attendance goals for the Club are met
  • Encourage participation of all teens in programs, activities, and leadership opportunities
  • Guide Program Leads, Assistant Club Director(s), and/or Academic Support staff in proper attendance tracking in MyClubHub
  • Monitor participation and engagement trends and identify opportunities to increase teen involvement
  • Manage data tracking and appropriate summary reports for grants supporting Club programs

POSITIVE PROGRAM OUTCOMES
  • Collaborate with Club leaders, teammates, schools, and community partners to plan and implement fun, intentional, high-quality programming for teens year-round
  • Establish program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission
  • Support programming that helps teens develop leadership, communication, decision-making, and other skills needed for success beyond the Club
  • Support academic success and opportunities that help teens explore college, career, and workforce pathways
  • Provide opportunities for teens to participate in leadership, service, community engagement, and special projects
  • Support Club staff in encouraging teens to participate in a variety of program areas and activities within Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Academic Success
  • Implement restorative practices to support positive youth behavior, repair harm, and strengthen relationships
  • Foster a safe and positive space where teens can build authentic relationships, express themselves, and develop a sense of belonging
  • Oversee special programs, events, trips, and other opportunities that enhance the teen experience
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, leadership, families, youth, schools, community organizations, and other related agencies
  • Support effective volunteer engagement, management, and stewardship
  • Identify and develop partnerships that expand opportunities available to teens

CLUB & COMMUNITY PARTNERS
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high schools, school administrators, counselors, teachers, and other education partners
  • Communicate regularly with school and community partners regarding teen needs, opportunities, and Club programming
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, colleges, workforce organizations, and community agencies to expand opportunities for teens
  • Connect teens with community resources, career exploration, leadership opportunities, internships, volunteer experiences, and other pathways for success
  • Participate in community outreach efforts that increase awareness of Teen Turf Club and opportunities available to teens
  • Maintain relationships with key partners that support the Club's academic, career, leadership, and youth development goals

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Work experience in a Boys & Girls Club, teen program, school, or similar youth-serving organization
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a BA in Education or related field, with flexibility for directly relatable work experience
  • Experience planning, implementing, and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of teens in a leadership role
  • Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrated ability for cultural responsiveness
  • Understanding of adolescent development and the unique needs and interests of teens
  • Knowledge and implementation of positive behavior strategies and restorative practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
  • Demonstrated time management and project prioritization
  • Work in a flexible and cooperative manner
  • Treat co-workers, supervisors, youth, parents, and others with respect at all times
  • Serve as a positive role model and practice the behaviors outlined in our Core Values and Club Code
  • Set priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision
  • Engage in continuous professional development

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED
  • Two or more years providing staff supervision and leadership
  • Experience working specifically with teens or in a teen-focused program
  • Experience developing partnerships with schools, businesses, colleges, or community organizations
  • Experience supporting college and career readiness, workforce development, or youth leadership programming
  • Candidates proficient in and using English and Spanish or English and Chuukese are highly preferred
  • Understanding of community partners and resources in the Clark County area preferred

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 40 hours per week (typically from 11 AM to 7:30 PM; occasional earlier mornings, later evenings, and weekends for periodic special events)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
