Lead Wellness Coordinator (Bilingual: English & Spanish)

On Site | Davie, FL | Full-Time | 8:30am-4:30pm |$20-22/hour

About the Role

You lead the operational backbone of the AWA program environment. As Lead Wellness Coordinator, you supervise the Wellness Coordinator team and ensure the day-to-day experience for adolescent clients is safe, structured, and therapeutically consistent from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and client-facing, requiring calm under pressure, strong leadership, and genuine investment in the teens you serve.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise the Wellness Coordinator team, ensuring responsibilities and coverage are met
  • Lead training on policies, procedures, de-escalation techniques, and clinical protocols
  • Monitor team satisfaction, address concerns, and foster a positive work environment
  • Plan the daily Wellness Coordinator schedule and assign tasks
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to align the daily program schedule with clinical needs
  • Oversee execution of daily program operations, including intakes, assessments, drug testing, therapy groups, and Psych NP sessions
  • Oversee administration and completion of client assessments
  • Observe and monitor client behavior throughout daily activities; offer emotional support while maintaining healthy boundaries
  • Handle crises with calm, non-confrontational de-escalation and redirection techniques
  • Engage clients and coordinate with clinical staff to prevent AMA discharges
  • Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations, including food safety and Environment of Care (EOC) protocols
  • Conduct equipment safety checks and fire/disaster preparedness drills

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in the behavioral health field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a team
  • Strong documentation and incident reporting skills
  • Bilingual required: English and Spanish
  • Emotionally regulated, professional, and consistent under pressure
  • Understands the limits of a non-clinical role escalates appropriately, never makes independent clinical decisions
  • Eligible for DCF and AHCA Level 2 Background check

Preferred

  • Experience working with teenagers
  • High school diploma or GED
