Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Transporter is responsible for day-to-day transport duties to facilitate throughput in the hospital. This a non-clinical, non-certified associate responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner to all patients during their entire stay.   • You will be responsibilities of the Patient Transporter will be to transport patients, equipment, and other items in the hospital environment by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed and assist in morning portables and other duties as assigned
  • You will strategically plan and communicate patient movement to ensure appropriate resources are available to proactively manage hold hours and unoccupied bedtime
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a patient transportation department in a health-related facility
  • Current BLS
  • Current clinical knowledge, minimum six (6) months of health-related transportation department experience preferred
  • Basic computer and hospital informatics skills are required
