Position Summary:

The Mental Health Technician plays an integral role in our comprehensive patient centered care model.  Typical responsibilities include the following:

  • Orient patient to unit and program.
  • Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
  • Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
  • Assist patient with activities of daily living.
  • Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.  College degree a plus.
  • Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
  • Hours:  40 hours/week.  Evening shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.).  Must be able to work some overtime and rotating weekends.
