Job description

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for a dedicated Technology Specialist for our client, a top performing public charter school network. This is a short-term temp to hire position based in Seattle, WA.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technology Specialist will be a key member of the clientโ€™s Technology Team and provide hands-on technology support across two public schools.


The individual will serve as a technical point of contact at the school sites, supporting educators, students, and staff with day-to-day technology needs. The position combines hands-on troubleshooting, customer service, equipment management, Google Workspace administration, networking support, and technology projects.


This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level technology professional who has strong foundational IT skills, enjoys helping people, and is interested in developing broader hands-on experience in an educational environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to educators, students, and staff.
  • Serving as a primary technical point of contact for the assigned school sites.
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Windows laptops and Chromebooks.
  • Troubleshooting printers, projectors, AV equipment, and video conferencing technology.
  • Supporting internet content-filtering tools.
  • Ensuring classroom technology is functioning and available for daily instruction.
  • Supporting digital learning platforms and online student assessments.
  • Managing and tracking technology inventory.
  • Maintaining accurate hardware and equipment records.
  • Assisting with warranty-related processes and equipment issues.
  • Providing technology setup and live support for meetings, events, and other school activities.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and access within Google Workspace.
  • Supporting Google Apps administration.
  • Assisting with VMware environments where applicable.
  • Performing basic through more advanced network troubleshooting depending on experience.
  • Working with the central network team to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Supporting staff with emerging AI tools, including Gemini Pro.
  • Assisting with automated workflows utilizing Google Apps Script.
  • Documenting technology processes and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS

Approximately 0โ€“4 years of relevant experience.

Candidates should ideally have exposure to or foundational knowledge of several of the following:
