The Information Technology Manager will lead IT Shop Floor systems, operational technology (OT), and technical support functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing IT operations, managing technical teams, supporting critical manufacturing applications, and driving technology initiatives that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, experience supporting manufacturing operations, and a proven track record of managing teams, vendors, projects, and enterprise technology environments.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead daily IT operations and support services, ensuring reliable performance of operation systems, Help Desk activities, end-user support, and compliance with established service levels.
  • Oversee and support critical technology environments, including MES, endpoint devices, printers, barcode scanners, and related infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other operational technologies that support production, quality, engineering, and business operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify business needs, evaluate technical solutions, and implement technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership for IT manufacturing technology, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Lead technical evaluations, problem-solving sessions, root cause analysis, and the development of innovative solutions to complex business and technology challenges.
  • Manage medium- to large-scale projects, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and successful execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop IT team members while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture and driving employee performance and engagement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service providers, contracts, SLAs, and technology budgets to ensure quality service delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Apply ITIL best practices to improve incident, problem, change, and asset management processes while driving continuous service improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to business leaders, communicating operational goals, project priorities, and strategic initiatives across the organization.

We are seeking a hands-on technology leader who combines strong managerial experience with deep technical expertise. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, IT service management, and operational technology while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and business partnership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in information technology leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated managerial experience leading technical teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience managing IT support operations and infrastructure services.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing systems and production environments.
  • Knowledge of IT service management methodologies and ITIL best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to partner with business leaders and discuss operational goals, challenges, and technology strategies.
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Flex Flow expertise strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and experience supporting regulated environments is a differential.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server database knowledge and administration skills.
  • Experience with IT/OT management and industrial technology environments.
  • Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity programs and initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead major initiatives affecting large sites, business units, or local operations.
  • Demonstrated success teaching, mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
