Job description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms, with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Technology Instructor to provide educational and technology support services of a moderate to complex nature to ensure end-user productivity and efficiency. This position prepares, organizes, and conducts educational and end-user support activities; and provides best-practices analysis and advice.

Reporting to the Firm Technology Education Manager, the Technology Instructor maintains records of instructional activities and attendance, evaluates program effectiveness, and monitors employee progress in one or more assigned offices.

This position will be resident in our San Francisco office with a hybrid working schedule.

Instructional/Support Activities Include:

  • Responds to end-users and clients on technology-related issues and questions and provides coaching and best-practice advice.

  • Prepares, organizes, and conducts educational and end-user support activities.

  • Communicates with, evaluates usage patterns of, and recommends "best practices" to attorneys and staff to ensure optimal use of the firm's technology based on knowledge of Firm technology and demonstrates mastery of the firm's applications.

  • May collaborate with other subject-matter experts in designing, documenting and delivering curricula and job-support solutions on in-house programs and deliver firm-wide, regional and local technology instruction in-person or online.

  • Designs and develops video, written and visual content.

  • Records and edits audio and video for teasers, recaps, and software video tips.

  • Writes technical articles for the internal knowledge base on identified issues, resolutions and work-arounds and on locally managed applications.

  • Makes "best practices" recommendations on commonly used firm-supported applications; in this capacity, assists IT developers and attorneys and staff.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of experience in technology training in an adult learning environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of office productivity software and Microsoft and mobile operating systems.

For positions in San Francisco, CA, the salary range for this position is: $81,640.00 - $130,585.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
