What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Technology Support Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Technology Support Specialist, you need a solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional. Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems, remote support tools, and standard office software is commonly required. Exceptional communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities help build trust and effectively resolve user issues.
