What is the opportunity?

The Enterprise AFL (AML, Fraud and Law) team is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC's ongoing plan to integrate legal entities from UA and UK. In this role as Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead complex IT projects from initiation to delivery with string technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role offers the chance to lead complex IT projects from initiation to delivery, leveraging your strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and proven track record of on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery. As a Senior IT Project Manager on the Enterprise AFL team, you will contribute to multiple enterprise-wide initiatives, integrating legal entities from the UK and UA, and be part of RBC's ongoing growth and development.

What will you do?

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including IT professionals, stakeholders, and vendors.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate project status, issues, and changes to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and team members.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and are within budget.

  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, and ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned.

  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure project deliverables meet requirements.

What do you need to succeed? Must have:

  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manger, with a strong technical background in IT, including knowledge of software development, infrastructure, and technology trends

  • Knowledge of fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML)

  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, risk management, and quality assurance

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of enterprise-wide project management tools, such as MIS, project portfolio management (Planview) software, IIPM, Archer

  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile certification, to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the field

  • Previous banking experience
