Purpose

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing information technology projects within Liberty Utilities' Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) portfolio. The role ensures projects are delivered in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and governance requirements.

The IT Project Manager collaborates with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and project sponsors while adhering to Liberty's standardized EPMO delivery methodology, stage-gate governance model, and reporting standards.

Accountabilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects from initiation through closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate delivery across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Apply Liberty's EPMO Project Life Cycle and stage-gate reviews.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID) and work with the team to identify opportunities to minimize or negate risks to the project.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and delivery standards.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contractual obligations.
  • Support invoice validation and vendor performance tracking.
  • Track project financials, forecasts, account for variances and recommend corrective action as needed
  • Manage scope and change requests through formal change control.
  • Maintain a strong focus on effective organizational and human change management practices to successfully implement change and to ensure adoption
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports and dashboards to stakeholders at various levels to maintain support and remove obstacles.
  • Present updates to sponsors and governance forums.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated 8+ years experience managing IT projects within a structured PMO environment.
  • Strong skills in planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience delivering enterprise IT initiatives in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of SAP, GIS, OMS, AMS, fieldwork and scheduling applications is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving, operations, and change management skills
Compensation Data

Full base salary range $100,000.00- $140,000.00 per year*Liberty considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, training and skills, and geographic location.
