IT Project Manager
Annapolis Junction, MD
IT Project Manager
IT Veterans is seeking an IT Project Manager to support a team of highly skilled engineers and technicians providing mission-critical support to a high-profile government customer. This position plays a key role in delivering full lifecycle support for Unified Communications (UC) services, including planning, coordination, implementation, and sustainment of current and future UC capabilities.
Primary service areas include audio-visual systems, video conferencing, digital signage, internet protocol television (IPTV), telephony, and chat services.
This positions requires a TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
Responsibilities
  • Perform project management duties in support of Unified Communications initiatives
  • Coordinate audio-visual (AV) hardware installations across multiple locations
  • Manage all phases of AV integration for both new construction and existing facilities
  • Train government personnel on proper use and operation of Unified Communications systems
  • Develop operational documentation and user guides
  • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UC systems
  • Assist users with access to and operation of UC technologies
  • Develop and maintain hardware and software configuration management procedures
  • Define and implement configuration management processes, including creation of build scripts and integration with system deployment processes
  • Conduct site surveys to support project planning and installation efforts
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals for program management review
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop project plans
  • Oversee execution of audio-visual and Unified Communications projects
  • Serve as equipment custodian and maintain inventory control and asset accountability
  • Develop installation schedules based on equipment availability, integration complexity, and customer priorities
  • Organize and lead teams in response to critical system outages or failures
  • Coordinate with other project managers and the program manager to ensure successful project completion

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an IT Project Manager or AV Project Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Substitution:
  • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline plus two (2) years of AVMM experience,
    or four (4) additional years of AVMM experience in the areas listed above,
    may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree, for a total of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
