Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, technology-driven initiatives across transportation. This role will work cross-functionally with IT, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technical logistics projects, including system integrations, and platform enhancements
  • Manage API and EDI integrations between internal systems, shippers, carriers, and 3PL partners
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, including technical milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation
  • Oversee data mapping, transformation logic, and validation for system integrations
  • Coordinate testing efforts (unit, integration, UAT) and production deployments
  • Monitor system performance post-launch and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure proper documentation of workflows, system architecture, and integration points
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years of project management, transportation or 3PL
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of best practices for data security, cloud security, identity and access management, application security, network security / architecture and cyber resilience.
  • Industry certifications are desirable
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations (dispatch, routing, freight brokerage, fleet operations)
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Preferred

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification
  • Experience with EDI standards and logistics messaging
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis, or BI tools
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems
