POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Project Manager for SAP S/4HANA's implementation is responsible for managing complex, high-impact projects and multiple initiatives simultaneously. This role drives successful project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic and tactical goals. The position mostly supports Advanced Energy's global ERP SAP S/4HANA implementation and will be partnering closely with project team members and vendors from across the globe during the remaining duration of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAP S/4HANA PMO Analyst
  • Supports SAP S/4HANA ERP Program Manager, IT Business Analysts, and Functional SMEs in day-to-day execution activities.
  • Maintains program-level and track-level plans, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Provides oversight on JIRA-related tasks for ERP workstreams; ensuring task hygiene and assigned team members provide timely statuses.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly program status reports, including schedule, scope, and risk updates.
  • Tracks and follows-up with assigned team members on open actions, risks, issues, dependency, and decisions (RAIDD logs).
  • Manages SharePoint as the central ERP document repository, ensuring proper version control and access governance.
  • Coordinates meetings across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones; captures and distributes meeting recordings, notes, decisions, and action items.
  • Act as a communication bridge between global teams, system integrators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve PMO processes, templates, and reporting.

IT PMO Responsibilities
  • Execute project(s) outside of SAP S/4HANA's implementation (if applicable) to completion, which encompasses planning, task management, compliance reviews, stakeholder engagement, etc.
  • Continuous coaching of project team members on the IT PMO methodology.
  • Present project outcomes and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Handle escalations, develop contingency plans, and facilitate change control; maintain project artifacts and documentation.
  • Identify, log, and mitigate risks; escalate issues with options.
  • Creates, tracks, and completes agreed upon yearly goals (outside of projects).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Location: AE headquarters, Downtown Denver, Colorado (Corner of 16th St. and Wazee)
  • Working Hours:
    • Yearly performance reviews affected by adherence to policy.
    • Advanced Energy is a Return-to-Office corporation.
    • In-office hours approx. 7:30am/8am (MT) to 4:30pm/5pm (MT), Monday - Friday.
    • Candidate will have flexibility regarding in-office hours stemming from global time zone meetings/expectations from SAP S/4HANA implementation, which encompasses U.S., APAC, EMEA, and India, yet in-office is primary location.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years leading multiple projects delivering system and business change
  • Experience supporting large, complex ERP or enterprise system programs
  • Experience implementing change management strategies and driving adoption of new processes and systems
  • Experience navigating global, cross-functional teams across time zones
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools (Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Office / Teams / SharePoint)
  • Experience of vendor management and third-party contractors
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (preferred)
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives across project management practices
  • Experience strengthening collaboration and improving project delivery efficiency
  • Experience ensuring compliance with IT PMO governance and organizational standards

EDUCATION:
  • BA/BS degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • PROSCI Change Management certification, preferred
  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO) certification, preferred

COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $145,000 per year.
