We are seeking a Program Manager.
Located on-site in Port Hueneme, CA.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manages program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing program, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of program.
  • Selects personnel according to knowledge and experience in area with which program is concerned, such as education, systems engineering, test and evaluation, engineering maintenance, logistics management, and software engineering.
  • Confers with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of program.
  • Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program.
  • Reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective and modifies or changes methodology as required redirecting activities and attaining objectives.
  • Prepares program reports for superiors.
  • Controls expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
  • May specialize in managing Governmental programs set up by legislative body or directive.
  • Execute requirements in accordance with the contract and specified objectives and ensure adherence to all required regulations/processes.
  • Select and manage personnel according to knowledge and experience to perform the requirements of the contract subject to government approval.
  • Establish and maintain a channel of communication that ensures all staff awareness and understanding of contractual and individual responsibilities, objectives, and goals.
  • Attain objectives. Manage and coordinate personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of the contract and programs.
  • Confirm progress is being accomplished toward specified program objectives. Implement changes as required if progress is not meeting the objective.
  • Control expenditures in accordance with funding allocations and the contract.

Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in an applicable Engineering, Mathematics, or Business discipline.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of program management experience with Navy Weapon/ Combat Systems and associated equipment, demonstrating experience and ability to meet the following job description requirements:

Skills and Abilities:
  • One must have exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team.

Security Clearance:
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
