Sr. Lead IT Product Manager

The Sr. Lead IT Product Manager defines and drives the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) product vision, roadmap, and business strategy, translating them into executivelevel delivery plans for the modernization of the Order Entry/Accessioning workstream.

Job Responsibilities

Laboratory Systems & Workflow Leadership

  • Lead specialty laboratory solution initiatives, including workflow definition and configuration, requirements gathering, documentation, product integrations, vendor coordination, solution deployment, and user training.

  • Apply expert medical laboratory workflow knowledge to support LIMS modernization with a focus on Order Entry/Accessioning.

  • Own large, complex initiatives spanning multiple lab systems, platforms, and integrations.

  • Influence prioritization decisions across product, engineering, and business leadership.

  • Work crossfunctionally with PMO, business leaders, lab operations, IT development, IT QA, and Sales.

  • Balance shortterm delivery needs with longterm architectural and product strategy.

  • Contribute to portfoliolevel roadmap planning and investment decisions.

  • Drive consistent delivery standards across teams.

  • Leverage AI to accelerate delivery, enhance quality, and improve business outcomes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Champion enterpriselevel lab system initiatives with broad organizational impact.

  • Serve as the senior subject matter expert and process authority for Order Entry/Accessioning.

  • Participate in the Laboratory Systems team to support defined LIMS initiatives.

  • Support OE/Accessioning LIMS development and deployment activities.

  • Coordinate and manage risk assessments and change management activities related to LIMS modernization.

  • Develop and track measurements for LIMS deployment and performance.

  • Represent the department in business meetings through strong verbal and written communication.

  • Partner with Operations Leads to ensure successful workflow builds, enhancement deployments, and implementations.

  • Establish and maintain effective internal team skill sets, departmental relationships, and vendor partnerships to meet laboratory technical requirements.

  • Foster strong working relationships across departments while managing business expectations and sharing knowledge with teams and operations.

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Partner closely with development teams to ensure timely, highquality delivery.

  • Lead sprint reviews and product demonstrations.

  • Drive change management and user adoption strategies.

  • Contribute to roadmap planning and longterm product direction.

  • Implement process improvements and best practices.

  • Own releaselevel success metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree.

  • 6 or more years of experience in a medical laboratory environment.

  • 5 or more years leading a team or teams on enterpriselevel projects or products.

  • 3 or more years defining, developing, or documenting user specifications, requirements, or operational workflows.

  • 3 or more years of experience in strategic roadmap development, defining longterm, multiyear product roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals.

  • 3 or more years of experience influencing senior stakeholders, governing product strategy, and ensuring solutions scale, integrate, and comply with regulatory and operational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree.

  • 5 or more years of experience deploying laboratory information systems.

Additional Job Standards

  • Travel as needed (5%).

  • Able to work on multiple problems, identify and correct production issues, and effectively manage and motivate project teams.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic; a selfstarter.
