Job description


Associate, Technology Operations Engineering monitors and maintains technology systems or network infrastructure, provides technical support, and collaborates on the development of new technologies and procedures to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring and observability tools
  • Configure and maintain alerting mechanisms to ensure timely detection and response to incidents
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into system performance, availability, and key metrics
  • Analyze metrics, logs, and traces to proactively identify issues and support root cause analysis
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution to ensure system resilience and business continuity
  • Perform regular system patching and maintenance activities in line with organizational security and compliance standards
  • Support and adhere to ITIL-based change management processes, including planning, documentation, approvals, and post-implementation validation
  • Monitors network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Participate in certificate lifecycle management, including provisioning, renewal, and troubleshooting of SSL/TLS certificates
  • Maintain and manage service accounts (Service IDs), including access provisioning, rotation, and compliance with security policies
  • Maintains accurate documentation of system configurations, runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps, and generates reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions

Qualifications
Education and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in application development, maintenance, and production support, along with hands-on exposure to Java and distributed systems in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and service-oriented architecture.

Work Experience:
  • Experience in production support, including incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis in mission-critical, high-availability environments.
  • Strong experience with SQL development, data handling, and large-scale datasets across relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Couchbase).
  • Solid understanding of system utilities, dataset management, file processing, and job lifecycle management.
  • Experience in application debugging, performance tuning, and system optimization to ensure stability and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and/or Waterfall.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (business, operations, and distributed technology teams) to deliver reliable, end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to distributed system design, including scalability, resilience, and performance optimization concepts.
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Couchbase) in production environments.
  • Familiarity with modernization initiatives, including integration between mainframe and distributed/cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools for production systems, such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Dynatrace, and BigPanda.
