Job description

About Us

Odeko is the all-in-one operations and technology partner to more than 20,000 independent coffee shops, cafes and other food establishments.

Through the Odeko web portal and mobile app, customers can purchase supplies from hundreds of national and local brands, track ordering trends, finance equipment, and access insurance. Customers that use Odeko can increase their revenue, reduce their environmental footprint, and save significantly on their cost of goods and time spent on vendor management.

Odeko is on a mission to continuously develop technology to champion your neighborhood cafes, coffee shops, and other independent F&B establishments.

Local coffee shops and cafes are the backbone of any given community, and we're here to help manage the day-to-day tasks with a platform so intuitive, it's kinda like magic.

The Odeko team is diverse, passionate, and innovative. Our 400+ employees are spread across numerous departments and business lines, but are single-minded in our mission to develop technology to support the many needs of our customers. We believe that small businesses need support now more than ever, and that Odeko is uniquely positioned to provide that support.

We are looking for a high performing IT Manager to own our internal IT operations and serve as the internal technical owner of our managed IT services relationship. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role for someone who can hold a vendor accountable, keep our systems secure and compliant, and make smart technology decisions for a growing operations business. This role has limited direct reports; day-to-day IT support and infrastructure work is delivered through our managed services partner and one direct report.

This is a hybrid position, requiring ~2 days/week in our New York City office. This requirement may fluctuate over time depending on business needs.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Own the relationship with our managed IT services provider — set expectations, manage SLAs, hold them accountable, and ensure responsive support across our warehouse and corporate footprint.
  • Own internal IT operations, systems, and tooling strategy. Co-own budget responsibility for IT spend and the MSP contract.
  • Co-own security and compliance alongside the Director of DevOps — policy, controls, audits, risk management, and incident readiness.
  • Serve as the internal technical decision-maker who translates business needs into what our vendor executes.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to keep IT aligned with how the business runs.
About you:
  • Experience managing IT operations and third-party MSP / vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated IT security and compliance experience (frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI, or similar).
  • Comfort operating independently without a team, getting outcomes through vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong judgment, accountability, and clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Multi-site or distribution/operations environment experience is a plus.

Compensation for this role is between $110,000 - $120,000

What you'll love about Odeko:
  • Fast-paced environment and growth opportunities - plenty of room for you to directly impact the company and enhance your career!
  • Competitive compensation, healthcare benefits, and opportunity for equity
  • Other great perks - Full lists of benefits available upon request

Odeko is proud to be a diverse, equitable, and inclusive employer. We encourage all to apply regardless of educational background, race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
