Job description

Summary

Candidate must be local to the Metro Detroit Area, as this role will be performed on local client sites.

Leads IT infrastructure, network operations, systems administration, and end-user technology support for a K-12 school district environment. Responsible for technical direction, core systems oversight, team leadership, and support of instructional and administrative technology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sets technical direction and IT policy for district staff, teachers, and students across multipleschooland administrative buildings.

  • Manages Cisco Meraki switching, wireless,firewall, and VPN infrastructure across sites connected by dedicated fiber.

  • Administers Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and security services.

  • Supports Google services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Admin Console, and Chromebook management.

  • Maintains Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity Messaging environments.

  • Manages VMware virtual infrastructure and HPE SAN storage systems.

  • Oversees surveillance, door access, PA, classroom AV, printers and web filtering systems.

  • Provides advanced troubleshooting and Tier 2/3 support for staff technology issues.

  • Coordinates technology projects and vendor/consultant activities tied to district initiatives and bond-funded work.

  • Creates andmaintainstechnical documentation, support procedures, and incident-related records.

  • Leads and mentors technical staff while supporting day-to-day operations.

  • Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of technicians supporting administration and teaching staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Cisco networking environments.

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki infrastructure and wireless technologies.

  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policyadministration.

  • Experience with Google Workspace / Google Admin and Chromebook administration.

  • Experience with Cisco voice systems, VMware, SAN storage, and security-related systems preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, customer service, and multitasking skills.

Certifications

  • Cisco certifications such asCCNAorCCNPpreferred.
