Position Summary

The Director of Information Technology, Security & Compliance leads the organization's IT, cybersecurity, export compliance, and facility security functions. This role is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of all technology systems while maintaining compliance with ITAR, NIST SP 800-171, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.

The position safeguards Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and defense-related technical data and serves as the primary point of contact for customers, auditors, and government agencies on all matters related to technology and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesInformation Technology Leadership
  • Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with business and defense contracting requirements.

  • Oversee infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, ERP systems, and end-user support.

  • Manage IT budgets, vendors, and technology modernization initiatives.

Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Lead cybersecurity programs in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.

  • Protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and export-controlled data.

  • Maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, risk assessments, and audit documentation.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and incident response activities.

ITAR & Export Compliance
  • Serve as the internal expert for ITAR and export control requirements.

  • Establish and enforce policies for handling controlled technical data.

  • Conduct training and support government and customer compliance reviews.

Facility Security
  • Oversee physical and facility security programs aligned with DCSA requirements.

  • Manage access control, surveillance, visitor management, and incident reporting.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and develop IT and security teams.

  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional departments.

  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and contract compliance.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's preferred.

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.

  • Strong knowledge of ITAR, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure, cloud systems, ERP platforms, and regulated data environments.


Preferred Certifications
  • CISSP

  • CISM

  • Certified Export Compliance Professional (CECP)

  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification

  • CompTIA Security+ or similar DoD-recognized credentials
