Job description

Standard Job Description Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. You will be the Program Manager, Development for the IRST team. What You Will Be Doing As the Program Manager, Development you will be responsible for leading daytoday activities of IRST domestic development programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and contract requirements, and driving program execution.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Manage daytoday activities of IRST domestic development programs, including cost, schedule, and contract oversight. Oversee production transition and lead program meetings. Lead proposal activities and support new business capture efforts.

CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Basic Qualifications Must have an active Secret clearance with an investigation within 5 years Must also have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and SAP clearances Must be willing to work onsite full-time Program / Project Management experience.

Experience in project management with ability to effectively lead a team to accomplish critical strategic objectives. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel and internal and external customers. Innovative problem solver that can resolve issues Knowledge on project and program management methodology and techniques.

Understanding of program execution and how program performance effects business operations. Ability to accomplish business / program goals without day to day direction / tasking. Desired Skills Experience with Classified programs Experience with the development and manufacturing of IR sensors and associated technologies for military, scientific and/or commercial sensing applications.

Program management experience managing complex technology development programs, transition to production, and production programs. Experience in managing programs with subcontracts key to program performance. Ability to communicate across multiple disciplines to provide leadership and vision for the program.

Ability to engage and build relationship with peers, customers, and critical stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
