Position Title: IT Coordinator

Reports to: IT Manager

Classification: Salary

Department: Store Support

The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in providing the systems and training employees need to operate efficiently through technology. If you have advanced technical knowledge and keen interest in adapting and implementing the industry’s best practice processes, this position may be for you.

Purpose of Position: Ensure company has the computer equipment and systems needed for successful operation of the business. Work with employees to ensure they have a thorough understanding of how best to utilize and navigate the systems. Serve as subject matter expert in IT systems and all things technology related within the organization

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation).

• Ensure efficient and accurate utilization of the BisTrack system.

• Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by teaching, training, and maintaining software & hardware functionality.

• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with IT Manager and user departments.

• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.

• Identifies problems and works with IT Manager for resolution.

• Maintains hardware lifecycle, maintenance, and replacement at direction of IT Manager.

• Maintains quality service by executing organization standards.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies as applicable.

• Monitors network utilization and performance, implements procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability at the direction of the IT Manager.

• Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and prevention methods.

• Must be highly organized and have the ability to spend a majority of the time working independently to solve problems and train employees.

• License and ability to drive to customer’s jobsites and Swift Supply locations.

• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.

Experience and Education Requirements:

· Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science

· Five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must pass a background check and Non-DOT drug test.

Physical Demands

  • Strength (lift, carry, push, and pull), maximum lift – 100 lbs.; frequently lift/carry – up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time
