Job description

Logistics Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities for the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Review, prepare, and route orders.
  • Respond to internal and external customer queries.
  • Support monitoring shipments, timelines, productivity, and communicate any delays to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
  • Support the daily freight operations including communications with freight service providers, customer service, and manufacturing.
  • Support utilizing basic data mining techniques and analysis to provide proactive and timely information to management in the decision-making processes.
  • Assist management with optimization of transportation procedures.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required for the Logistics Coordinator:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in international or domestic operations.

Preferred for the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Prior work experience in logistics/transportation industry is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Detailed oriented, analytical, and able to multitask.
  • Must work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong inter-departmental communication skills.
  • Proactive problem identification and solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
