About the Role

The IT Systems Specialist supports the organization’s technology operations by administering business software applications, maintaining database integrity, and providing technical support for enterprise systems. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (or designated supervisor), this position serves as the primary resource for software administration, user access management, and technology training while partnering with the organization’s managed IT provider to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support the organization’s business software applications, including Airtable, Adobe, Paychex, Yardi, QuickBooks, and other approved systems.
  • Maintain databases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, software access, and application settings.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding by establishing, modifying, and disabling user access across business systems.
  • Provide firstlevel support and troubleshooting for software applications, escalating hardware, network, and Microsoft 365 issues to the organization’s managed IT provider, as appropriate.
  • Monitor software performance, identify opportunities for system improvements, and recommend technology solutions that enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Maintain software licensing, technology inventories, and system documentation.
  • Promote cybersecurity best practices by supporting user awareness, secure system usage, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Develop and deliver user training and documentation to improve employee proficiency with business applications.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external technology vendors to support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Complete special projects and other technologyrelated duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 35 years of progressively responsible experience supporting business applications, systems administration, or information technology.
  • Experience administering cloudbased and business software applications.
  • Knowledge of database administration, data management principles, and user access management.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations, property management software, or financial systems is preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
