Job description

The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for designing, supporting, managing and maintaining all aspects of the network and server infrastructure. This includes email, server equipment, data networks, network security, telecommunications solutions, audio conferencing and video conferencing. The IT Infrastructure Manager engages in architecture definition, planning, technology direction, project management and mentoring of more junior Network Engineers and Server Administrators. In addition, this position functions as part of a team performing critical support tasks ensuring network functionality is available and performing properly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan, implement and maintain data communication networks, Internet and firewall equipment.
  • Ensures the availability of the corporation's worldwide network architecture and has responsibility for architecting, implementing and administering Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Internet networking and network security
  • Design network operations and resources by translating requirements into hardware/software recommendations
  • Monitor and analyze network health and bandwidth utilization; makes recommendations upon analysis to ensure cost-effective communication environment solutions;
  • Researching alternative solutions; preparing proposals; analyzing cost-effectiveness; presenting concepts
  • Manage network performance by conducting capacity planning, network modeling, traffic analysis, forecasting, and provisioning;
  • Maintain data communication networks, Internet and firewall equipment.
  • Assist with escalated helpdesk networking issues.
  • Keep current of emerging trends in networking and communication technologies
  • VMware configuration, management, & trouble shooting of VM units.
  • Active Directory Configuration and Maintenance (including GPO administration)
  • Microsoft Exchange Office365 and PowerShell
  • Mimecast Spam Administration and Certificate Management
  • Maintain and manage Microsoft Azure, IBM SAN Storage and Remote Desktop environments
  • Participates in on-call rotation
  • Work directly with end users to resolve support issues within Service-Now
  • Monitor quality of ticket handling and closure processes to ensure a high level of service is maintained
  • Maintains and continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools using ITIL best practices
  • Maintain and manage IBM Power Servers
  • Maintain and document new system process
  • Evaluate ever-changing technologies as they relate to company goals and needs

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree or Associates with 5+ years' experience.

Language Ability:

Mathematical Ability:

Advanced level experience and working knowledge of networking architecture, engineering and administration for multi-location enterprise companies. Technical and troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Certificate Management, Cisco router, switches and firewalls, WAP, ASA's and IP telephony. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPsec, routing protocols, SNMP, VLANS and network management tools.
