Job description

Surgical Technologist Opportunity

Immediate need for a talented Surgical Technologist. This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Morrisville VT (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms with surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
  • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards throughout surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers during operations.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure instruments and supplies are readily available.
  • Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures.
  • Clean and restock operating rooms following each case.
  • Float to the outpatient Same Day Surgery Center when required.
  • Accurately document patient care using CPSI/Evident EMR.
  • Facility: Level II Trauma Center
  • Primary Unit: Inpatient Main OR
  • Float: Outpatient Same Day Surgery Center as needed
  • EMR: CPSI/Evident
  • Bilingual: Not required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Days / Varied
  • Scheduled Hours: 40 hours [Hours per Facility]

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist or graduation from an accredited Operating Room Technician program.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification required.
  • Experience in an acute care hospital operating room preferred.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • State license required.
