Pharmacist In Charge - Miami, Florida

Location: Miami, FL 33147 Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacist In Charge to lead the daily operations of a retail pharmacy in Miami, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have strong pharmacy leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven background in retail pharmacy operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while overseeing pharmacy staff, inventory, prescription fulfillment, and overall operational performance.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Review and accurately process provider prescriptions while ensuring appropriateness and legality.

Prepare and dispense medications according to prescribed dosages and pharmacy standards.

Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the pharmacy.

Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication histories.

Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, and monitoring expiration dates.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse requirements, and all applicable pharmacy regulations.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.

Provide medication information, guidance, and exceptional customer service to patients.

Lead, supervise, and support Pharmacy Technicians in their daily responsibilities.

Assist with performance evaluations and communicate behavioral or performance concerns to senior management.

Manage Pharmacy Technician schedules and coordinate requests for leave or workplace accommodations.

Maintain an organized and efficient pharmacy environment.

Utilize pharmacy patient management systems effectively.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in the State of Florida — required.

Candidates who are in the process of obtaining their Florida license will not be considered.

PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree.

Minimum 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience.

Previous experience in a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist In Charge leadership role preferred.

Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Experience utilizing Pharmacy Patient Management Systems.

Fluent in both English and Spanish — required.

Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management, and regulatory compliance.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to use hands to handle medications, tools, and pharmacy equipment.

Strong fine motor skills and attention to detail.
