Location/Region: This is a fully onsite role that requires 5-days in office located in Maple Grove, MN.
What's the role?
This is a 6-month internship with a potential fall start date. As a Service Intern with ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions, you will gain hands-on exposure to internal service operations and 2nd Level Service structure. This full-time winter internship, with potential for continued part-time work during the school year, offers the opportunity to independently own and drive meaningful, real-world projects within the Technical Service 2nd Level Department that directly contribute to improving Service Operations and enhancing overall customer support.

  • Support 2nd Level Service by analyzing cases and suggesting improvements to processes
  • Support 2nd Level as project lead for small projects
  • Take initiative in tasks such as data collection, record updates, and follow-up on open 2nd Level issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline 2nd Level workflows and improve service quality, learning from issues or failures
  • Use basic database and reporting skills (e.g., , ) to extract and review service and equipment data
  • Prepare concise written summaries, simple reports, and short presentations on 2nd Level service topics and metrics
  • Present key findings and lessons learned to top management at the end of the internship
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the 2nd Level Service team

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program
  • Strong creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Good learning agility; open to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Solid organization, time management, and basic technical project management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication; confident presenting to stakeholders
  • Team player with a results-focused mindset
  • Very good Microsoft Office skills
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week during the internship

The pay for this role is between $20.00 - $24.00
