Job description

Description Expertise and Functions * Perform technical analysis related to systems design and development * Conduct tasks associated with systems engineering life cycle and the DoD design review process
* Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques
* Support systems analysis (e.g., discrete event simulation) with simulation techniques * Follow, perform, and record the results of the execution of a test plan * Exercise judgment to make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements
* Proficient in technical writing including white papers, customer deliverable documents, etc.
* Collaborate with leadership at all levels
* Lead technical reviews and meetings, internal and external
* Perform duties under supervision of staff and chief engineers
* Mentor less experienced engineers
* Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: * Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited institution in relevant engineering or science discipline required * Master's Degree preferred Experience: * 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area * Familiarity with a range of systems engineering tools - Cameo experience preferred
* Background in developing and/or testing aircraft and/or military components preferred * MRO, Depot Level repair and integration experience preferred * Experience with systems integration, structural analysis and/or Python preferred Security: * Must be a US citizen
* Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements: * Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
* Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
* Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
