Job Summary:
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that communicates complex technical concepts related to autonomous surface vessels, requiring collaboration with engineers and other team members.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements
โ€ข Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system manuals, specifications, and other technical guides for our autonomous surface vessels
โ€ข Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation that is easy for end-users to understand
โ€ข Ensure that all documentation adheres to industry standards and best practices, as well as any relevant DoD regulations and guidelines
โ€ข Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity, ensuring that it meets the needs of our target audience
โ€ข Work closely with the product development team to stay updated on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
โ€ข Continuously update and improve existing documentation based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and internal teams
โ€ข Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in technical writing and documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field
โ€ข Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
โ€ข Proficient with version control systems and front-end development
โ€ข Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
