Salesforce Developer

We are looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our growing development team and help drive the evolution of our platform and build a scalable, high-quality Salesforce environments. This is a key role where you will have a voice in the technical direction of our platform; we are looking for a thought partner who can help their team make the right design decisions for the long term. You will work with Product Management, business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and other business organizations to design, develop, and deliver features across our Salesforce platforms, including Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud.

We are also looking for a developer with a track record of leveraging upcoming technologies, AI, and automation to deliver impactful improvements and move our products forward.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance features in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and Service Cloud.
  • Design and implement robust integration strategies for third-party managed packages, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability of the overall platform.
  • Write well-structured Apex classes, triggers, test classes, and asynchronous processes.
  • Develop custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) and automation using Flow Builder.
  • Prototype and deliver solutions using AI and related technologies to automate processes and improve user experience.
  • Consult with Product Management and Product Owners to refine requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Work with other business organizations on design, documentation, and implementation plans for large initiatives.

Testing & Quality

Developers are expected to build resilient solutions, document clearly, and write effective tests (Using Copado CRT, Apex, & LWC), participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our test strategies and automation.

We operate in a complex, enterprise-scale environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and a demonstrated ability to work across a sophisticated and evolving technology landscape.

Core Salesforce Platform Expertise

  • Deep Fluency: Advanced proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and modern Flow automation.
  • Key Clouds: Hands-on experience developing solutions for Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and Experience Cloud.
  • Data & Querying: Mastery of SOQL/SOSL and a strong, practical understanding of Salesforce data modeling and architecture.

Enterprise Integration & Application Experience

  • Complex Managed Packages: Demonstrated expertise in engineering solutions that integrate with and extend large-scale third-party applications. Direct experience with integrating large enterprise packages is highly valued.
  • Custom Data Platforms: Experience designing or implementing integrations with external data platforms.
  • API & Middleware: Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and experience leveraging enterprise middleware platforms (e.g., Kafka, Apigee) for robust, scalable integrations.

CI/CD, DevOps & Pipeline Automation

  • Pipeline Tools: Proficiency with enterprise-grade CI/CD tools such as Copado, GearSet, AutoRABIT, Power Automate or similar is essential.
  • Process Improvements: Improvements come from small to large. This roll will assist with contributing their ideas and solutions for enhancing engineering processes, pipeline automation, developing proofs-of-concept for new technologies (including AI integrations), and production quality.

Engineering Mindset

  • Pragmatic Problem-Solving: A demonstrated history of successfully delivering new features and capabilities, from concept to completion, to achieve significant business impact.
  • Versatility: Experience with general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) is valued as it demonstrates a strong, adaptable engineering foundation.
  • Methodology: Proficiency working within Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated toolsets.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Salesforce Platform certifications.
  • Experience with Apex, LWC, and Flow Builder.

Preferred

  • Proven experience integrating and customizing large-scale managed packages within a complex enterprise environment.
  • A history of successfully taking on new ideas or technologies and seeing them through to completion, delivering significant improvements to a team or product.
  • Demonstrated interest or project experience with AI tools in the Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Prompt Builder) or a passion for prototyping new capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce governor limits and best practices for building scalable code.
  • Understanding of common integration patterns and principles.

Experience with access control, permission sets, and complex user roles

Visa Sponsorship:
This position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
