Job Summary: 
The Technical Support Representative is responsible for providing accurate, solutions-focused technical support to customers, sales representatives, service partners, and end users across AMETEK Power Quality Solutions products, software, and service offerings. This role supports a best-in-class customer experience by assessing customer needs, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting support cases, coordinating service activity, and identifying opportunities for future service, parts, preventative maintenance, and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:
   Assess customer technical needs, provide clear troubleshooting guidance, document support cases accurately, communicate resolution steps, and follow through to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
   Maintain working knowledge of AMETEK Power Quality Solutions products, software, and service offerings to provide accurate technical support, troubleshoot customer issues, and recommend appropriate next steps.
   Schedule and coordinate field service activities between customers and service vendors.
   Use customer interactions to uncover opportunities for additional support, preventative maintenance, and on-site services.
   Perform order entry for various service, parts, and battery replacement orders.
   Support service projects as directed.
   Other duties as assigned.

Technical Support Rep position will also be required to be on a monthly rotation for our Technical Support after-hour support program. We do offer additional pay for this participation.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Two-year technical degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred; candidates currently pursuing a related degree may also be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
   Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering professional, solutions-oriented customer experience.
   Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment, technical knowledge, and adaptability when troubleshooting customer issues in real time.
   Basic working knowledge of multimeters, hand tools, and electrical troubleshooting practices.
   Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
   Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on support activities.
   Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs.  The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
