Job Title: Print Management First Responder (IT Support / Printer Support)
Location: Hartford, CT 06106Duration: 3 months+ extPay Rate: $23.00/hourSchedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM (45 hours/week)Work Environment: OnsiteParking: Provided onsite
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have prior IT Help Desk, desktop support, or technical support experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily support for networked and workstation printers.
Respond to customer service requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot printer malfunctions, paper jams, connectivity issues, and hardware-related problems.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians when necessary.
Keep customers informed on the status and resolution of service requests.
Document service calls, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
Support printer installations, replacements, and hardware deployments.
Deliver toner and printer consumables as needed.
Manage onsite printer parts and consumables inventory.
Track and report printer meter readings and fleet performance data.
Maintain printer fleet databases and support tools.
Assist with printer procurement and hot-swap inventory management.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, Technical Support, or Hardware Support experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Basic PC skills and technical aptitude.
Ability to document incidents and provide detailed troubleshooting information.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for printer installations and equipment movement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting printers, copiers, or multifunction devices.
HP or other printer-related technical certifications.
Experience in healthcare, enterprise, or corporate environments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift equipment as needed.
Capability to move and install printer hardware weighing up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working throughout a hospital environment.
