We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the field team and customers with technical issues or inquiries, generating internal and customer-facing technical documentation regarding our inverter-based products, and building out tooling for troubleshooting.

  • Provide technical support to the field team and customers, addressing and resolving complex technical issues or inquiries related to our inverter-based products.
  • Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Design and build tooling for troubleshooting to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technical support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer service, to ensure comprehensive support and documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions for the field team and customers to improve product knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Monitor and analyze technical support metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in inverter-based technology to provide informed support and documentation.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all customer and EPC Power safety policies.
  • Experience commissioning multi-MW energy projects
  • Experience with typical commercial and industrial electrical power (480Vac, 3p)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, and more than 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in technical support, preferably with inverter-based products.
  • Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency with PSCAD or similar modeling software
  • Familiar with typical commercial and industrial cabinet wiring, documentation, wiring harnesses
  • Experience with NI/Labview, Python, MatLab/Simulink, and/or C programming languages
  • Experience with CANBus and Modbus Communication
  • Hands on lab skills, prototyping, testing, and cable harness fabrication
  • Must be familiar with typical lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in building and using troubleshooting tools.
  • Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
